The short version: Ilham is a daily inspiration app. Some features are free, some need a paid subscription that renews automatically until you cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings. Be kind, do not misuse the service, and remember our content is for encouragement, not formal religious rulings. The full terms below are what legally applies.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Ilham Labs ("Ilham", "we", "us") and govern your use of the Ilham mobile application, the ilhaminspires.app website, and any related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, downloading the app, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data and forms part of these Terms.

Ilham delivers short inspirational reminders rooted in Islamic tradition, with features such as themed collections, personal favourites, daily notifications, streaks, sharing tools and home screen widgets. We may add, change or remove features over time as the Service evolves.
Some features ("Ilham Premium") require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), not by us directly. The price, billing period and any free trial are shown clearly in the app before you buy.
The Service and its content, including text, quotes, design, graphics, logos and software, are owned by or licensed to Ilham Labs and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and its content for your own personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the relevant app store.
Share features in the app (such as quote images) are provided so you can share individual pieces of content personally and non-commercially. You may not bulk-extract, scrape, resell or republish the content library.
If you submit feedback, suggestions or reports to us, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use them to operate and improve the Service, without obligation or compensation. Do not submit anything unlawful, offensive or confidential.

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Firebase (Google) for authentication, data storage, analytics and notifications, and RevenueCat for subscription management. Your use of the app is also subject to the terms of the store you downloaded it from. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
We aim to keep the Service available and improving, but we do not guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service. If we permanently discontinue the Service, we will give reasonable notice where practicable, and Apple or Google's refund policies will apply to any active paid periods.
Ilham's content is intended for encouragement, reflection and motivation. It is not a source of formal religious rulings, and it is not professional advice of any kind, including medical or mental health advice. For religious questions, please consult qualified scholars; for health concerns, please consult qualified professionals.
Except as expressly set out in these Terms, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties, conditions and other terms that might otherwise apply.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of your country of residence.
Subject to that, we are not liable for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, loss arising from your breach of these Terms, or business losses (the Service is for personal use). Our total liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to the amounts you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose.
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights under consumer protection law that these Terms do not affect.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, for example in the app or by email, before they take effect. The "Effective date" above shows when these Terms were last updated. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you live elsewhere you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections, and may bring proceedings in the courts, of your country of residence.

If you downloaded the app from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service, and billing is handled through your Google Play account.
